I didn't see it. How badly was the Yumi death scene edited? It was pretty graphic in the uncut version.
Reality is for people who lack imagination.

They (Kenshin and Shishio) were standing, barely. Yumi went between, went . (On ground, close-up on face) I finally understand. I'll be only one step ahead of you on the other side. (dead)
Smoke starts to come from Shishio. Kenshin blocks attack.
AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH (offscreen).
Black pile of ash where Shishio used to be.

Not what I'd call graphic.

Yeah, it is too bad the amount that they have to edit. But it is also too bad that I don't have the money to go buy it.

Sorry bout that!
I'll try to do better next time, that I will. Then again what is expected of a n00b?
I have no fondness for the name of Battousai. But I will not pass it on to a man like you.

Here's an idea, if you don't want to see spoilers, how about not reading a thread called "Last Knights Kenshin". Sorry not trying to harsh but something to think about.

Its still only proper to put that. Besides the topic could have been about anything. For example.
  • Topic Title: Last Nights Kenshin

Message: Hey guys did anyone else notice the random glitch when Kenshin swung his sword? I thought it was wierd, it might have just been my tv.
You see what I mean, the topic is the same but the content is different. And the title can apply to both subjects. Putting *spoiler* or *possible spoiler* in the beginning of a post or topic title doesn't kill you and helps those who dont want something given away.

No offense, but I'm laughing that some people are saying it's "good."

You guys do realize there were over 70 cuts in the episode right? It was the most edited next to Episode 55 about Soujirou's past (which was laughable and made the most interesting character in the show, one-dimensional).

Here is a link with the edits.

In fact, I'm surprised some of you caught on the resolution of the episode/fight since based on the edits and the last paragraph in that editorial, he thinks most people will be confused as to if Shishio or Yumi died. Which of course isn't important right? That was sarcasm btw.

I've always been against Cartoon Network even airing Kenshin on Toonami and have mailed them a number of times telling them to go to Adult Swim. I told them specific things (like this) near the beginning of it's run and it would appear now they have to deal with it by changing it substantially and making 70 edits. I think the CN Director even admits it was a mistake.

Fuckin' dumbass. Why don't you watch the show before putting it on the air? Perhaps then you'll know it's not just "OMGWTF!!! KIDS LOVE SAMURAIS AND NINJAS!!111ONE!!! WHEE!!!!" Sounds like Fox and their version of Escaflowne.

I suggest the rest of you pick up the DVD and watch it unedited and subtitled. You'll see a lot of differences. I think when a show changes "big" things like Soujirou's past, Shishio's death, etc....that's when it turns into a "bad" show. Not to say Kenshin is a bad show (one of my favorites), but I don't even consider this show Kenshin. More like "Samurai X."

Fuckin' Toonami. DIE![/url]
