After being an anime fan for a year and a half, I've finally been able to watch Trigun this month.

Quite frankly, I don't think it deserves the acclaim it gets. Sure, it's a good show, but the ending felt empty. The show suffered a lot from pacing problems, IMHO. Vash needs to grow a pair of balls. Wolfwood is a pimp. That's more or less the extent of what I got from that series.

I Like Trigun

Post by Kira Sakuya » Thu Nov 27, 2003 6:39 pm

I've seen all the episodes of Trigun at least 3 times. I really like Vash, but the 2 chicks always with hime annoy me sometimes.

id say trigun is not 3rd fav anime (samueai x being the 1st and rurouni K being the second). Im not saying i hated the series, I loved it!!..Vash is ok. He's funny and cool at the same time but he doesn't really become cool till the en di think. I like his whole idea of not killing though.

Wolfwood would be my fav. He's a smoking and drinking and cursing mega hyprocrite priest jerk who carries a huge freakin cross machien gun plus bazooka. I think he's the coolest. Defeintly one of my fav characters in the entire anime world (proably cuas ehe carries a large weapon...i like characters who carries large weapons :) )

I also like Kain the Longshot. I love his character design (and his gun....its a huge sniper rifle..can you get any better then that!!). Plus I like the whole idea of the Gung-Ho Guns and in one of my mangas, I'm doing a similiar thging and even introducing them a similar way (but instead of killing like a 100 people) they kill a entire city.

Anyways, Trigun Babe, you're obviously not alone.

top 5 trigun characters:
1. Wolfwood
2. Kain the Longshot
3. Legato
4. Knives
5. Vash

2 people I hate most: Rem and E.G Mine (the Rem Savrem episode is one of my favs in the series but I just dislike the character. I totally agree with Knives ideaology.)

Trigun is an awesome show. Think I told this story like twenty times throughout the net and in person. About a year ago, around Christmas, I got into a fight with my hangout group, girl problems...long story short, I ended up standing alone. Anyhow, I have a friend in my church who use to be an anime freak and then stopped collecting DVDs. I thought, hey, maybe this is a good time to start watching anime...and make it a full time profession, partly to drown out my troubles, partly because I have been meaning to for awhile and never got around to getting myself a few acclaimed titles.

My sis is friends with a lot of anime freaks and they all loved Trigun. My sis checked that out first while I went for Cowboy Bebop. We ended up taking turns using the DVD player at one hour increments. Sure enough, my sis is cracking up and I decided that maybe I should be a little more insane and watch both CB and Trigun at once! I soon became captivated by Trigun and that worked out because I finished CB about a day later.

I remember the anime rolling along, I get my laughs and my crack ups up until ep 17. I gotta say, for that ep, I was like, who is knives? Did Vash go back in time or something? I registered like ten seconds later, HOLY CRAP! I rewinded and watch the ep, this time aware that this is Vash's childhood we're talking about here!

I too hated Knives for a while, but then I loved it when he offed Steve. I hate the sucker's guts SOOO much. I know its wrong, but I can understand his standpoint on why he hates humans so much. Funny how the one guy who doesn't discriminate people is the guy who hates all of them equally! And of course, I loved the line when he sent Chapel to the void: "Good for nothing, resource consuming garbage.(eyes squint)"

My only complaints abt the show are the visual quality and they had one too many filler episodes.
