I ever so wish I could have participated.EarthCurrent wrote:Be advised that the AMV Community and the Cosplay Community are sworn enemies of each other.
It was but a year ago that a covert band of AMVers from this forum launched a haphazard raid into the forums of cosplay.com, wreaking havok for nearly an hour.
The memory of that incident still burns in the memories of both sides.

Actually, check out Bushmaster's Carbon-15 Type 21:A 5.56mm Nato round fired from a small, short weapon without a stock. You'd never hit anything if it was real.
It's basically an AR-15 upper and lower receiver assembly, with a shorter barrel, and the recoil dampening assembly (minus the buttstock). Imagine using a pre-ban 40 round magazine in one of those!
Another great example is the Bushmaster M17S Bullpup:
The barrel is 21 inches in length, but the weapon itself is only 30 inches. This weapon has the advantage of the AR-15 target rifle accuracy, in a smaller, lighter package.
But back on topic, I have an odd cosplay question. Anyone out there who's done an Alucard costume? I haven't attended, nor do I intend to go to any conventions, but I've always wanted to know how one gets their hands on a red trench coat, or the goofy looking hat?

That CAR-15 mutant is pretty useless looking, it's like something from a bad action movie.
The M17S lacks any visual finese, or it's the bastard love child of a cube and a FAMAS.
Gotta go with the classics...
Or a full stock SPAS-12, the tentical demon slaying shotgun of choice.
Moi + M4 RIS + Custom Seifuku Uniform + Goggles/Pads/Gloves + Parking Garage + CGI Blackhawk + Photoshop = Good Cosplay.

1) The P-90 fires a 5.7 pistol round, thusly it is a Sub-Machine Gun, NOT a rifle.
2) It's a PDW, or personal defence weapon, a compact weapon for vehicle and aircraft crews in the event they get disabled. Not head on conflict.
3) I said held in one had casually, one it's not casual when firing a weapon. I was refering to when someone is just HOLDING it when not being engaged.
