Those movies were horrible though.Heero_Yuy84 wrote:Random fun fact:
While not officially anime, the Rankin-Bass versions of The Hobbit and the Return of the King had several people involved in the animation staff that would later become famous in anime (I can't remember the full list, unfortunately, it was in NTUSA)

NO, it wasn't a manga. There was a Manga version at one point however. There was also an anime version. I HAVE the first Ninja Turtle comic (Reprint) ever made. It was black and white and totally American. Ninja Turtles was created by two american guys. Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. They came up with the idea while living in North Hampton Massachussettes. They produced it in their own place called Mirage Studios. I have every TMNT comic ever made. My husband and I met cause of the TMNT. I can send you the link to the creator's website. Don't challange me on the origins of Ninja Turtles man, you will not win.Toecutter wrote:The original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (manga and anime) was done in Japan. Later, there was an Americanized version (in which all the turtles had different colored masks and bands, to help distinguish them).
As for Transformers, I'm still pretty sure the first one was American. I'll hafta do some net research and get back to you.

Hey! There's no need to attack my personal life. That was totally uncalled for! I've been married seven years now and have a wonderful 2 1/2-year-old daughter. That sure as hell doesn't qualify as sad. And don't you dare try to tell me that there haven't been awsome couples who've met through anime. It doesn't matter how someone met, as long as love is there.DJ_Izumi wrote:Saddest Story Ever.Songbird21 wrote:I have every TMNT comic ever made. My husband and I met cause of the TMNT.
