It has to be a gothic anime. Robin wears a big black dress covered by a big black trenchcoat, and then runs around a city and rides a moped in said garm.

Nobody but a goth could be that impractical.

Yami no Matsuei is a bit goth, if not in the black nailpolish way.
If nothing else, harsh noises get your attention.

OMG! I was about to say that. Creepy?

Another one that came to my mind is Gatekeepers 21; there's lots and lots of grey shadings in that OVA.

SOULTAKER..I can't believe nobody mentioned that. Very GOTHIC in design, well, leaning toward a more baroque style. I mean with all those dark shadows, sharp camera angles, Devilman/lady designs, towering spires and cathedrals (plus an organization called The Hospital) - definately up your alley!

Yea, I agree. The animation is REALLY gothic and very fluid, but the plot wasn't very good in my opinion. :?

Gilgamesh makes me think gothy, but then again, I haven't seen much of it.

Ooh, and Boogiepop Phantom (if it hasn't been mentioned to you already).

Very dark, gothic feel.
