and yet, so mant people miss X 1999.

Anywho, for beginers to anime, start with these.

For mecha/not quite mecha:

Gundam wing (and endles waltz, the movie)
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Gundam 8th ms Team (short but damn good series)

For fantasy/swordfighting:

Rurouni Kenshin (and movies trust and betrayal if you can stand blood)
X 1999 (a great series but a little hard to understand at first)
Record of loduss war

For comedy/action comedy:

Trigun
Excel saga (keep the voulum down on this one on occasion)

For space western:

Coybow bebop
outlaw star

Thses are just to name a few of the good ones, but are good animes to start out with and get addicted on.

The best way I know how to find anime I'll actually like is to go to this site:http://www.animetric.com/ and look at the anime reveiws, they're the best! They don't have reveiws on everything, but the reveiws they do have are great!

Ok we had another mixup with screennames. I wrote what Cloud Clone posted previously before my post. Wow that sounds confusing!

 IMPOSTER!!! Stop doing that! Anyways, try going to any local video store and rent something. All of the stuff mentioned before is good, so don't worry about getting stuff you won't like...everyone is different, so there are no guarantees!
