Have you seen BERSERK yet?
Get Berserk!!
I can't beleive more people haven't suggested Berserk. It's the ultimate in medeivel anime. With giant swords and feudel lords and plenty of wars of knights. Plus it's one of the greatest anime ever.. as far as I'm concerned. Amazing music, amazing story, amazing characters, superb action. Go get Berserk!
Oh and don't let the first episode phase you, it's out-of-place, won't make sense until you've seen the end, and the rest of the series is more medievel.

Look at all my trials and tribulations

All depends on what you're looking for I guess, I'd recommend Slayer's too, (currently my fav), and also Beserk or Escaflowne . Those Who Hunt Elves is medieval, but it has next to no actual good combat scenes, its almost entirely comedy-based and the humor gets odd at times. As far as Scrapped princess goes, its ok and even a little interesting, but in the end its only average, most I know didn't think much of it. I haven't personally seen the Beserk series but I watched the outake scenes at the end of it awhile back, and it looked good, and I hear both it and Escaflowne have tons of good sword-play and storyline to back it up.

I'd recomend Azumanga Daioh.

So in other words, one part of the community is waging war on another part of the community because they take their community seriously enough to want to do so. Then they tell the powerless side to get over the loss cause it's just an online community. I'm glad people make so much sense." -- Tab
