My favorite is Alucard. Man, his guns are awsome,.

If you thought the show was good, just wait till you read the manga.

Currently I have vols. 1-6 of the manga and a few chapters past that thanks to YKO.

What can I say about the manga? It's freakin' awsome.

More characters. more character development, more bad-ass(Seras gets some REALLY big guns later *cough*howitzer*cough* and at one point Alucard even flies an SR-71(well, I don't know about fly, since he never touches the controls. Must be those vampiric powers).

Also, that annoying Incognito is nowhere to be seen, as there's more bad-ass guys to fight from the Millenium Group. Also, Alexander Andersong makes more appearances, and yes, there's even a fist fight between him and Alucard. Good stuff.

So, get the manga. NOW.

Sure you weren't watching Eva for the first time?

I do agree, though. The finale was kinda... random. I think it would have been a better series if they'd spread it out over 26 episodes and gave it a solid plot.

I agree.

The series suffered from poor writing near the end (you can tell where they ran out of source material), err actually half way through.

Though, I have heard they plan to continue it, or redo it more like the manga once Kouta Hirano finishes the manga.
But don't count on that anytime soon as the manga is still going strong.

If they do the show more like the manga, OMFG it will freakin rule.

I love Hellsing. It's not my favorite, but that's irrelevant. It's hard for me to decide a favorite character. Alexander Anderson was so damn awesome with his first appearence, but on his second appearence he was kind of helpless againast Alucard. Alucard is amazing, and Integra is also awesome. Plus there's Walter (the butler), he's awesome as well.

I'd love it if they'd make more Hellsing, but I think it's in the same boat as Berserk and I don't think either has a really good chance of getting continued in anime form.

I really enjoyed Hellsing. Initially, I didn't care to see it. I'd seen a few Alucard action figures at a store once and I remember thinking "That must be such a nasty, weird show!" When Wolfwood mentioned that the Action channel was going to air it I told him I wasn't interested. He spent the next two weeks HARASSING me about it.

Needless to say, I watched the damn show. I thought it was AWESOME, though I must agree, the ending left much to be desired. It was probably my first "dark" anime.

Now that the manga is finished, it'd be nice if they could make a second season. There have been continuous rumors about it, but no one can prove anything, so I'm not holding my breath.

HAH! Anything but!

Currently, like I said before, there are 6 volumes of Hellsing, and new chapters are still being serialized monthly in Young King Ours magazine.

Trust me Hellsing has at least another volume on the way, and that's only if the ending is hurried. If Hirano-san does it the way he has been doing it, I'm sure it'll go to at least volume 8, if not more depending on how long he wants to keep doing Hellsing. (now, I don't have the May issue of YKO yet, but once again, I seriously doubt he'd finish what's been building up for so long in only one chapter)

So, possible anime continuation, but not anytime soon.

Yeah i hope they bring out another one soon!!!!!1 i'd buy it like asap! i mean i feel that the paladin will come back with some new tricks and w00t! also you all know that alacuard name spelled backwards is dracula? anyone? well yeah and w00t!
