But what I was tring to find out was if there was a certain point in your anime watching that you finally found it funny?

The only anime I've ever really laughed out loud at was the first episode of FLCL...I'd never seen anything like that before. Weird stuff amuses me.

I laugh when i find something funny. If the anime is funny, than there's no excuse for not laughing.

Yes. I think Excel Saga has gotten the most laughs out of me so far (occasionally I have to stop the DVD).

I once worked with a girl that laughed while reading manga. I don't have anything against that personally, but if the "norms" were there, she would probably be ridiculed somewhat. :?

I'm a big fan of comedy series, so I do laugh pretty frequently. Especially when people are in groups, like at conventions, you'll find a lot of people will laugh (you could actually hear the laughter in the halls of the convention center when they started up Live Action Sailor Moon).
Basically, it's just like any other type of media. You can get choked up from something dramatic, or find yourself laughing at something humorous.
