Those are the anime fans that make me scared of getting sucked too far into anime culture....*Shiver*El Banana wrote:The geekier anime fans laugh at EVERYTHING. If you laugh during your anime, then your transformation has begun. Very soon you'll be fat, smelly, wearing the same hello kitty shirt every day, and saying things like "nobody understands miyazaki's genius like I do."
Do you laugh out loud at your anime?

I once worked with a girl that laughed while reading manga. I don't have anything against that personally, but if the "norms" were there, she would probably be ridiculed somewhat.Lyrs wrote:I laugh when i find something funny. If the anime is funny, than there's no excuse for not laughing.

I'm a big fan of comedy series, so I do laugh pretty frequently. Especially when people are in groups, like at conventions, you'll find a lot of people will laugh (you could actually hear the laughter in the halls of the convention center when they started up Live Action Sailor Moon).
Basically, it's just like any other type of media. You can get choked up from something dramatic, or find yourself laughing at something humorous.
