Both of you, chill. And learn how to spell.
I think that adroids in anime are primarily divided into two categories:
The Humanity aspect: Are they human because they look so much like us and have emotions? Where is the line drawn between human and humanlike? This is expressed in degrees, from a hinting in GITS to full on questions in Metropolis and Chobits.
The powerful girl concept: The powerful girl concept is actually a genre in and of itself, typically the girl(s) are mystical, powerful, or awe-inspiring in some way, something noticalbe and fundamental. Like Ai, in Video Girl Ai; Chi, in Chobits; And it's even represented in harem animes like Tenchi Muyo and Love Hina.
It all boils down to the simple fact that the 'moral lesson' is for the girls, which states flatly and plainly; that each girl is special and powerful and unique and to believe in oneself.

I suggest taking a look at all the other anime mentioned in this thread- Do what you must, draw your own conclusions. In the end, you'll see that everything in a story, be it a book, movie, series, cartoon, anime, what-have-you, is all there to drive a single point home; the moral of the story, if you will.
You might think that this is an awfully crappy way to look at things, but look at it this way: It's the journey, not the destination.
