Endless Waltz...by comparison to its original series, it was OK...but there were two bits that always bugged me:
1. 4 of the pilots make it a point to avoid killing the pilots in that big battle...and then Heero, in one shot, proceeds to kill several of them...smooth move, Yuy
2. The ending...all MS just kind of disappeared...suuuure
And, since we're judging best to worst...here's my votes:
1. Zeta Gundam
2. Gundam 0080: War In The Pocket
3. Mobile Suit Gundam 0079
4. Gundam F91
5. After War Gundam X
6. Mobile Fighter G Gundam (...speaking as a Getter Robo fan, this won me with the super robot cheeze)
7. SD (Super Deformed) Gundam
8. Gundam SEED
9. Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory
10. Gundam 0083: Last Blitz of Zeon
11. Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz
12. ZZ Gundam (...haven't seen much of this, so this might change...but for now, not looking too promising)
13. Gundam Wing
14. SD Gundam Force *shudders in horror*

I can understand what you mean about Endless Waltz. However, I think it makes sense Heero is Killing everybody, this shows how much he developed from the beginning of the Gundam Wing series. (49 episodes and he STILL has to be a the cool bishouen.)Heero_Yuy84 wrote:Endless Waltz...by comparison to its original series, it was OK...but there were two bits that always bugged me:

I must agree with you on the ending..... but then again, they needed a "happy ending" or what I like to call "Disney ending"
By the way, I've heard that ZZ Gundam returns to the gritty realistic environment just like Zeta Gundam after failing with comedy during the first half.

well, i didn't start watching GW from the beginning, so I was confused (this was when CN had it..) but afterwards I started to really like it as I watched more. Endless Waltz rocks, especially the scene where Deathscythe H is seen silhoutted against the moon. (the big battle towards the end)

I've never seen any Gundam Wing (because I didn't have cable until a couple years ago) other than Endless Waltz, but I still like it. I don't own the DVD though, and have only seen the dub.
...Am I, like, the only one who likes Relena even a little? I didn't find her the least bit annoying. Then again, there are several characters from various animes which many people find annoying and which I don't mind.

Trust me...you haven't missed all that much. I'm still waiting for something momentous to happen. These last few episodes feel like filler, for some reason. I'm not getting into it as much as I did with Wing.
I saw a Gundam Wing artbook at B&N the other day and I kicked myself for having spent all my money already. I had gotten DNAngel and Chobits 5 to read during my flight Thursday...but I wanted that artbook dammit.

Well...there's two ways to look at Wing:
As an intro the Gundam series, it's a good start...some decent action moments and some good mecha and a few 'make you think' moments...
However, if you've already got a few Gundam shows under the belt, it loses a lot of its effectiveness...characters that seem deep on first viewing, actually turn out to be pretty shallow, several of the story elements are pulled from other series, and the combat, in retrospect, is actually pretty detached...they want you to pity the pilots that are dying, and yet, don't exactly go out of their way to show that there, in fact, human beings being killed in combat...
Example of how this works:
Gundam 0079 - There's a few moments (in particular at A Baoa Qu) where you see pilots just as their MS are going up...some of whom are panicing...it's the kind of thing that's only a quick scene, but you still feel bad for them all the same...
Then you get Wing where the pilots just randomly yell "It's a Gundam!" then blow up...it doesn't seem it in text, but by comparison in the two effects, the Wing deaths come across as very hollow...
...that's just my take on it
