Oh boy, that's a hard one. Having seen so many great shows, it's hard to pick.

Hmm, for best overall, I'd have to say it's tied between either of the first two seasons of Slayers and Great Teacher Onizuka.

my favorite anime is one which ive allready stated a thousand times in a thousand of theys stupid and meaningless threads which can carry absolutenly no conversation at all

Fave anime: Sailor Moon, for the allusions, the romance and just comedy. It cheers me up on a bad day ^_^

If this thread is considered pointless then I don't give a damn what we should be ignoring. This is just some harmless fun that allows us to indulge in our love for our favorites, and can potentially direct people towards shows they might want to watch. It's not like we're ever going to get a forum full of philosophical debates even if we try to eliminate pointless threads.

what exactly is good about a thread thats bein done so many times its stupid, and doesnt hold any ability for conversation whatsoever ?

Heh... if it had been done too many times that no one wanted to reply, no one would reply. Just because you don't find a thread interesting doesn't mean it's worthless, other people have minds seperate from yours. What qualifies a thread as stupid? Regardless, if all the thread that some members think are stupid were to be banned, we'd have no threads, because there'd always be someone who thinks it's stupid. Not everything has to have conversational value, too. A thread like this is more like a poll. And in a way, explaining why your favorite is your favorite is conversational, although it's not a multi-person activity.

Just speaking personally here, I don't think people should complain about threads - if people enjoy them they'll post so it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, and if you don't like the quality of conversation then simply make one or more threads with high worth in the way of conversation and substance.
