Licensing announcements

Yup, FUNimation got the 3rd Tenchi Muyo OVA though don't expect the same English VAs who did other Tenchi series (heck they didn't do that for Tenchi Muyo GXP). FUNi tried their best to get the orginal cast but to no avail.

I read awhile back that a company had licensed all of the shows produced by the group that did Scrapped Princess. I think it was NuTech (which is odd b/c I checked their site and in the past they've only licensed hentai). It didn't say anything on their site, nor did I see it confirmed anywhere else, so I didn't post it. But I'm excited to see it confirmed, and I'd be happy enough if it was Geneon.

And Tenchi Muyo OVA 3? It was only a matter of time after all. I'm not sure if it was all out in Japan, but the fansubbers were up to episode 3, and it was pretty good.

Since I started watching fansubs, these are the first shows I really like that have been licensed. I'll definately have to buy the Scrapped Princess DVDs when they come out, and Tenchi Muyo as well, though it'll go slowly as I don't have a whole lot of money (I haven't even bought the other Tenchi DVDs, or half the shows I want to). I may have to get a job after all.

I heard the same. Actually, I heard it was part of a package deal.

As long as they release an uncut Japanese language version, I'm ok.
So far, Funi is living up to that, and hell, they're even offering to clean up 4kids mistakes.
Funi has definately come a ways from their DBZ roots.
