I wholeheartedly agree with you. I've seen better (not that Trigun isn't good). There was quite a bit of stuff that was boring useless filler. Then overall story was good and I have to say that Trigun had one of the best endings I've seen in anime. It's a good show but somewhat overhyped.madmag9999 wrote:meh trigun was ok. i found it boreing in some moments but its still one of my favorit shows. the thing i least liked about it was all the gangho gang dudes, some of them were kinda stupid

Ironically enough, Stan "The Man" Lee did 12 issue arc for DC, revamping characters like Superman and Wonder Woman. It was a sort of a "What If Stan Lee Worked For DC?" sort of thing. I've got the ish of Wizard where they feature that.Akai Rurouni wrote:Don't even joke about that.Sousaphonist wrote:It'd be like, say, Stan Lee going to DC and making Spiderman Supreme.
But yes, Trigun Maximum vol. 1 is basically just vol. 3 of the Trigun manga.

Well the whole Maximum thing i kind of weird, someone has already explained how it came to be but as far as the story goes it was a pretty drastic change.
Drastic events take place in the TV series that dont in the manga, as vice-versa. If i read correctly (There was an explanation with a picture on the last page of Trigun Volume 1) there will be 2 (very large) Trigun volumes released (I believe the second is now out aswell) followed by 4 Trigun Maximum releases.
I can honestly tell you that the TV series and the manga are not at all the same story, besides a few of the events, catch phrases, and of course the characters. The first volume of the manga released by Dark Horse whent all the way up to the Steam Transport episodes (1-13ish i believe). So you can more then likely expect a better, less filler, and not to mention more original story if you take the manga route.
