Ghost in the Shell...

back in the day, people were treating it as the best thing since sliced bread and even then I thought it was medicore... sad thing is as so many things that are 10X better has come out, people still look back at it as it was the best.

Not as funny as everyone thinks... its cute, but not a boat full of funny.

Every single thing in the known universe that anybody likes in any capacity what-so-ever that I don't like in equal or greater capacity is disgracefully overrated.

Pfft, what a stupid idea.

Hell, there's a lot of titles I've found myself burned by to some extent or other...a quick sampling:

-Evangelion (...I'll spare the full rant on this one...I'll just leave it at this, I think one of the single biggest mistakes ADV ever did was marketing the boxset for this with the claim 'The greatest anime of all time')
-Rurouni Kenshin (This is probably a personal thing...I just heard every one talk of how amazing this series was...then when I sat down to watch it, I found it got pretty old quickly)
-Cowboy Bebop (good show? Yes...holds up well to repeated viewing? ...Eh.)
-Inu Yasha (I was joking about it in the chat last night, I'll joke about it here again...let's just change the name to Shikon Shard Z and get it over with)
(On that note, I can't help but wonder...is it safe to say that DBZ is no longer in the 'overrated' rubric...Hell, most of the time people seem to talk about it nowadays is for the sake of bashing the Hell out of it)
Anyways...final vote
-The Animatrix (Revolutions be damned, I still felt more let down by this)

Awwwwe....but I like Eva.

Cowboy Bebop would've been great had the ending not sucked donkey raped ass.

That's an odd thing to say... since a lot of people consider Bebop's ending to be one of the best endings. Plus, I wouldn't love the show half as much as I do if it hadn't ended that way.

Eh, I've had it spoiled to me on this forum 10 or 11 times before I actully saw it.

Anyway.. TommyRude, he's fighting Vicious, what do you expect to happen? There was no other way that it could have went down, if you ask me.
