I just wished they could of kept everyone VA from the original movie... I know Batou and the Chief are still the same guys but alot of the other cast's voices are different from the movie....

My only complaint was that I couldn't understand most of Alphonse's lines during the next episode preview. Simply too soft to really cut over the music well and clearly.

I wonder if they succeeded in making it the biggest Adult Swim premiere ever?

My critique of the FMA dub - Al's voice is WAY too light, and he sounds way too young. He sounds like a 7 year old rather than a ten year old, which is what he was supposedly perserved at. Also they prounounced Roze, Rose. That really bothered me. And they made her voice deep. ARG. The guy who did Ed was a big highlight. He used enough emotion to satisify me, though it was a bit too "punkish" to be the full metal alchemist. Still, decent acting on his part.

I've already seen the GitS episode. The dub is decent on the whole.

Argh!! Why must you people compare the Jap voices to the dubs? I think Ed's voice was great since the Jap version had me almost falling asleep. Al's voice surprised me, I thought it would sound like crap but it's pretty good. I really don't like the Gits girl's voice though. She has the voice of some other show that I don't like the voice of "uhh yeah." If the dubs voices came out before the Jap ones though, you guys wouldn't have liked the Jap ones as much.

Is the Ghost in the Shell movie similer to Stand Alone Complex? I've yet to see the movie but I seen Stand Alone Complex last night and it rocked.

Because most people know subs are way better than dubs. They also don't want people to see a dubbed version of an anime and think it sucks just because of lame voice acting, and since there will be people seeing it on AdultSwim, there will be more people to see it. Even though the anime itself in Japanese is simply mind-blowing, people will think the show is retarded just because of the acting. And in FMA's case, this is no exception. The Japanese was indeed mind-blowing, and when I heard the dubbed version, I instantly knew that if I had not seen the Japanese version, I would have thought: WTF? I had this little thought in the back of my head that hoped the dub for it would be slightly decent, but sadly, I was wrong. It was far worse than what even I had expected, and I thought it would be terrible already. And I agree with the people who say Vic is not chibi enough, because he certainly isn't. As for Al, .

At least that's my opinion on sub vs. dub. Sorry if anyone strongly disagrees with me, becaue I don't really care.

actually, it isn't really safe to be sure about that..

and well yea.. why should we compare? because some people have a deep-seated hate for english dubs... and if people already know.. why do they still keep on complaining about it? I think people are only stressing themselves by thinking of the negative... that "english dubs suck"

....................anyways

vic is cool and I'd like to see how he put his voice to Ed :)
