I've been watching it on AS, and I missed the 3rd episode, which I heard was pretty good. Too bad, since I wasn't that impressed by the first two. AS is up to the 4th episode now, which was a bit better.

Sure Ed's generic, but at times, Al's personality is detrimental to his character. Every time he flips out because someone says he's short or when people thought that Ed was the 'Full Metal Alchemist' just showed that he was quite immature as well as annoying. On a 1-10 scale, Ed gets a 0, while Al gets a -3. However, I still have hope that the series gets better, which would have to be the case from what I've heard from other people.

i finished watching the whole series right before it got licenced.

Kinda impossible, since it got licensed quite a bit before the 51 episode series was finished airing in japan

The series WILL pick up, though. It gets incredibly good, just keep watching...if you don't like it by episode 10 then... :(

I, personally, like Edward more than Alphonse ... I think Al is kind of an idiot...although, Ed DOES seem like the bigger moron at this point in the show. I think you'll change your minds as it goes on...

I think you have it mixed up. Ed's the short one that flips out all the time. Al is the one in the armor that's always mistaken for being the Full Metal Alchemist.

And yes, in my opinion, it gets a lot better as the series goes on. I wasn't that impressed by the first couple of episodes. . . Roze/Rose annoyed me so much. . . but I absolutely love the series now.

::grumble:: I missed the first episode. :(

I did see the second and third, though. So far, I really like the show, and I've heard good things about it. I can't wait to see more!

Hmm...Ed and Al seem so different, it isn't fair to compare. Al seems so kind and levelheaded, but Ed is just too badass for his own good. I couldn't possibly choose!

As for the dubbing, I think it's pretty good, though I can't compare it to the sub, as I haven't seen that. I'll definitely be following this on AS.

Fullmetal Alchemist...

Post by EinsteinValentine88 » Fri Dec 03, 2004 11:47 am

Well, I have only got to see bits and pieces of almost every episode, but I haven't got the feel of it yet. But I guess that has to be my fault when I lose track of time and forget it comes on...

But what I have seen is really good. Hopefully I will be able to remember to start watching it. (My best friend is always on my back about watching it because he really likes it so he wants me to too. At least I think that...)

And I would have to say I like both brothers. They can be cool.
And so ends another episode of wasting time with Faye...

I was wrong about something pertaining to anime!? This is a dark, dark day indeed... :(

Yes, she was indeed annoying, but I'm sure that she would be less so now, since she's not all about "Oh, I just want my poor dead boyfriend to come back!" all the time. That is, if she's the person I think she is. I just wish I had seen the 3rd episode. :?

Roze reappears later in the series... Poor girl... Not dead, though... And she's not NEARLY as annoying in the Japanese version.

Personally, I LOVE FMA. Great show, it just got an uber crap dub. Kinda sucks.
