Just the anime I need :D.

Gore wise there are plenty hawt animes: Twilight of the dark master, Berserk, Devilman, Ninja Scroll & Ressurection, Biohunter. The only anime that ever creeped me out was Urotsukidoji. When you see a girl getting raped by a demon and then masacrated due to the fact that the demon's dick was too big you can't possibly feel normal about it. The end of Berserk was pretty disturbing as well and gave me a totally different feeling about the show in full. But watch the show from the beggining to the end, otherwise it won't leave such a big impression.

You should watch a few eppisodes of cool devices. Bloody sickening. Its hard to imagine that someone actualy got the idea in their head for some of the stories.

The end of berserk was a let down for me. It just went all fantasy and got stupid. I know it keeps going with the manga, but still, they should have kept the series ending a bit more realistic.

Witch Hunter Robin is X-files in an anime. It rocked.

I second that. A nice twisted tale. Intresting timeline, creepy music, each episod is its own story but is interwoven with the others. Drugs, madness, memorys, an evil entity, all add to the dark feel. This is a hard anime to follow but well worth the effort.
Where did you say I'm going?.... And what am I doing in a handbasket?
