Well anime fans have heard of it it's by that "God" Miyazaki whos a freaked out hippy who tries to put his earth firster crap in his animes. His best movie is Laputa other than that he's only so so at best.

I haven't seen it yet and that may be true but that doesn't detract from the quality of the work. Besides there are worse anime out there for the earth first crowd(Arjuna for example).

But with all that in mind I have yet to see one of Miyazaki's works that was not, at least, passably good.

Have you tried the manga Mr. Oni? You might like it better. While it starts out with environmental issues, it ends up dealing with more social issues.
The sword, it thirsts to drink of man,
The sword at last must win,
Today is gone, and yesterday,
Must echo in the wind.

Yeah I had some of it when it was being released as comics. Just didn't like it that's all. Something miyazaki made that I liked was the cat returns.

8-)

Everything I have seen come from Studio Ghibli is good.

Nausicaa, Laputia:Castle In The Sky, and Kiki's Delivery Service are excellent. I intend to buy Nausicaa as soon as I can.

I watched the new Nausicaa DVD today and fell in love with the film again. It's one of Ghibli's finest works and really shines digitally remastered. Now I shall go hunt for the manga.
