Yeah, thats all true, multiple episodes were cut, sheerly for the purpose of ultimately kiddyfy-ing the show...one i heard about was it got cut because someone held a gun to ash's head :?

Also, the episode that featured porygon was cut because it gave thousands of Japanese kids seizures is also true, thats part of where the Simpsons skit "Battling Siezure Robots" came from.

I actually saw a clip from the porygon episode, I think it got dimmed or I'm old enough not to be affected.

I saw a clip from another episode that got cut. It had Misty, Jesse, and James in a swimsuit competition. James was wearing a.......................and he actually looked like he had..................................

You know what let me not finish that statement. I rather not make me or anyone else sick.

Or you could just not be prone to epileptic seizures. I heard that affected people of all ages.

And I remember seeing a clip of that episode with James.

I never really cared for pokemon that much, but when it first came out I was not into anime. However, I think I might have gained some intrest in it if it didn't go over board and make about 13165194651461 different pokemon, and about 5984494919 episodes. I almost think there are more episodes of pokemon then their are of DBZ. Its streached out to long with to many fillers, and to many pokemon.

Yea, I should've also mentioned that I only played one of the original games, and none of the insane followups which, frankly, I consider just pure milking. It worked very well for a game, but geez... there was no content to warrant creating new versions as stand-alone games.

There are.

Japanese version of Dragonball Z = 291
Japanese version of Pokemon (prior to Advanced) = 277

Japanese version of Dragonball + Dragonball Z + Dragonball GT = 508 episodes.

Japanese version of Pokemon (prior to Advanced) = 277
Advanced = :?:

says Advanced = 408. Alltogether that makes 685 episodes, which exceeds that of Dragonball/Z/GT. The question is, will it end after Advanced?

Can someone enlighten me on this "Advanced" thing? It appears to be something new that I totally missed (points to sig)

In it, Ash decides to stop using all of his pokemon except Pikachu, and start a new journey, he leave Brock and Misty behind, somehow pics up two new companions (a brother and sister), later, Brock rejoins them, (they might even meet Misty once). Team Rocket are there too (of course) but since there is no Team Rocket base in that area, they must also set that up while competing with Teams Magma and Aqua. That's abouyt all I know about Pokemon Advanced. It takes place wherever Ruby and Saphire do.
