To tell you the truth me and my brother were discussing about Naruto the other time. We have episodes from 1 to 143. Well my point is that we have seen most of the series and found out that Naruto may be changed by Cartoon Network. for example he said there was this page that said Cartoon network would change some of the names of the techniques. Not only that , but they may also cut some scenes and add others that are supposely more "decent." An example is a technique called "Kage Bunshin no-jutsu" wich means "Shadow clone technique", but instead they may call it "teachnique of the double gang up", or something like that  . Anime shows are sometimes made childish by TV channels just because they don't want little kids to see it.
An example is Yu-Gi-Oh. This anime is in Cartoon Network and it's about this kid who plays with cards against other people and if he wins a card game he saves the world for absolutly no reason. I mean really now, who in their right mind would stop their chance to take over the world or something just because they lost a card game? That aside, there are two different types of manga for this Anime. One is the goody goody manga version were they save the world just by beating other people in a card game, the Americanized version. But there is another version, one called the dark version. In this one the spirit of the millenium puzzle eats the souls of those he defeats to gain strengh. It's also basically that they play cards, but this time there is a risk of losing posetion of your soul. The bad guys just don't stop a diabolical plan just because they are beat in a card game. Is different from the other version were the characters must "believe in the heart of the cards" to win. That doesn't even make sense! What kind of @$%#&*!@? is that.
(okay, I'm calm again)In short both my sibling and I believe that Cartoon Network may really mess up the show. :(

To tell you the truth my brother told me about it. he was going to read the manga, but just then the power in our computer went off. he didn't have time to bookmark the web page either so at the moment we really are wondering were to get the manga from. If I get any info I can send it to you, but for now we have nothing.

I think what you were refering to was the 1st season of Yu-gi-oh. Someone had told me it was more dark than the later episodes -- to much work to censor, so it was simply scrapped. If you simply watch the Japanese version you'd see the arc in question, but i'm not sure they'd release the dub of that here since the main marketing age is so young...

I guess it starts from the begining. I wrote that my brother told me about it. He didn't went into details. He's not a great fan from YuGiOh so I'm not surprised that he didn't really check carefully the manga. Like I wrote before, he was going to bookmark it, but the power went off at our house and he didn't get to save the web page.

Having read some of the early installments of the manga, up to the point where the card game becomes the main focus of the plot, it didn't have anything to do with Yu-Gi-Oh eating anyone's soul. He basically met up with bad people and challenged them to shadow games, some really retarded ones sometimes. Things were usually at stake, like a person's health, their sanity, or even their soul. While a few people lost their souls, Yugi didn't actually eat them. These stories were a lot darker than the rest of the series, but I didn't think they were all that great, mostly because there was some new characters being introduced in one installment, and then they were completely forgotten about the next. Same with the games. Until the card games were the main focus, the gang had some new favorite game every single week.BlueFire102 wrote:One were YuGiOh gets stronger by eating souls.
Yugi: Hey Joey, check out this new game!
Joey: Wow! This game is awesome!
Yugi: Ha-ha, yeah.
Joey: ...uh, hey Yugi.
Yugi: Yeah?
Joey: What the hell were we playing last week?
Yugi: I dun know.
One week later...
