Besides the fact that Al's VA sounds like he's reading form a cue card?

I always found that interesting.. that, and the fact that a lot of characters from Kyoto ended up British.

I think it's safe to say that almost ever Studio Ghibli dub is pretty darn good, considering that Disney or Fox throw tons of money into it these days.

Also, Cowboy Bebop. Every one of those voice actors are sought after like crazy when trying to fill a lead roll, and for good reason; they're amazing, simply put(Think about it - no one was chosen for any part in Naruto when they first got the right to bring it over, except for Steven Jay Blum as Kakashi...).

Inuyasha has a pretty good dub, and YYH's isn't too bad either. Dragon Drive has a decent dub too.

Boogiepop Phantom, Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040, Chrono Crusade, El Hazard, Great Teacher Onizuka, Giant Robo (new one), Nadesico, Gundam 0080, 08th MS Team, Escaflowne (*hides from DW*) to name a few.

I thought Akira, The Utena Movie and Cowboy Bebop had wonderful dubs. Angel Sanctuary had a pretty good dub aswell...and Voices of a Distant Star (it still managed to make me cry in English, more than once, so it has to be a good dub).

The only dubs I can think of at the moment that pained me because they were so horrible were Sailor Moon S, Sailor Moon Super S, Neon Genesis Evangelion (the "Perfect Collection"...I've yet to see the "Platinum"), and Excel Saga...not necessairy because the dubbing itself was bad (although I thought it was at points) but rather because her English voice made me want to stick my head in the microwave.

Personaly i don't watch many dubbed versions, perfer it in japanese. from the ones i have watched, Cowboy bebop, inuyasha, Gundum wing/seed, Evangelion, and Perfect blue were well dubbed in my opinion. Just for 2cents worth. All people from fox must explode.

But they don't do anime dubs... what's the cause for your anger at Fox?

Oh there is a difference! Fox is no longer in control of the Saturday morning line up anymore. They have forfitted all saturday morning control to 4Kids Productions, the people who got the rights to Pokemon. Pokemon has since rocketed them into major positions regarding kids tv, and since they're major money maker was anime, they continued with anime. Problem is, they often mutilate it in ways that simply should not be. Case in point: One Piece.

Be not mad at Fox for these transgressions. Be mad at 4Kids Productions! Although in 4Kids' defense, they ARE smart enough to release series like Shaman King and Yu-Gi-Oh with uncut editions including the original Japanese language track and subtitles. While I have not seen the quality of these first hand, it's better than getting the TV version. Keep your fingers crossed that the same happens to One Piece!
