Absolutely not! That's one of the reason's ADV is so great. Their actors are great, and alot of them are some of my top favorite voice actors. People like Chris Patton, Jason Douglas, Tiffany Grant, Jessica Calvello, Josh Meyer, Gray Haddock, Edwin Neal, Brett Weaver, and others. Plus they are talented people. Are you bothered when you hear recycled voices in ADV anime?

Ah! All of those names are familiar to me! I love to hear their voices, too. The only problem is that it removes my mind from anime and turns my thoughts to the actors, instead.RamonesFan2020204 wrote:Chris Patton, Jason Douglas, Tiffany Grant, Jessica Calvello, Josh Meyer, Gray Haddock, Edwin Neal, Brett Weaver
As for Jessica Calvello, I'm not sure. If she was still working for ADV, I am SURE that she would have been cast as the insane police cop lady in Fumoffu.

When you watch a live movie or a tv show, does it bother you that the same actors and actresses play many different roles in different films? Is it upsetting that they have the same looks and voice? This has been going on since people have acted out plays. It's the same with voice actors, there is only a small pool of good people to chose from. Voice acting is very difficult and not very well paid, it's a wonder that these people stay in the industry. Meet these people at a con, learn what voice acting is like, and you will get to respect the effort and talent they put into the anime's we watch. It would be nice if they had many more people to work with, but I don't see that happening, not the way the industry is today.
Where did you say I'm going?.... And what am I doing in a handbasket?

A) If you don't like hearing the same recylced voice actors (anyone given Rachel Lilis a prize yet for being in every anime dub in existence?) stop watching dubs.
B) Oh wait, the same exact thing happens when you watch it in Japanese! Only it's "Oh, it's Koyasu Takehito. . . Oh, look Miki Shin'chiro and Hayami Sho, etc. etc."
Would you rather they get a new bunch of no talent hacks everytime they decide to make the audio for a show? At least if they keep using the same people over and over there's hope that they'll actually improve.

I really don't mind hearing the same voices playing different roles. What bugs me is hearing a VA act poorly in one dub but do a fantastic job in another.
A voice actor who's been in a lot of anime, usually means that he/she has some talent worth noting.
Even with anime's growing popularity, it's still hard to find good voice actors. So when a company finds one, they'll usually want to keep that VA around for further dubbing projects.

*Sighs* I didn't mean to complain or ask for alternatives; you don't need to respond like that. Why does everyone here feel like jumping on me?staces wrote:A) If you don't like hearing the same recylced voice actors (anyone given Rachel Lilis a prize yet for being in every anime dub in existence?) stop watching dubs.
