I really enjoyed Chrono Crusade, Soul Hunter and Slayers, but my absolute favorite dub would have to be Saiyuki - I'm a total sucker for Greg Ayres ;P

A newer show that I thought had a pretty darned good dub is Samurai 7.

Hmmmm I have to say.

The 1st and 2nd season of Sailor Moon [Better voices than the S and Super S season]
Cardcaptor Sakura [1st movie] [The 2nd movie dubbing sucks]
Ayashi No Ceres
Chobits
Escaflowne series and the movie
Fruits Basket
Fushigi yuugi
Noir
Outlaw Star
Please Teacher
Rune Solider
Rahxephon
X series
Pretear
Inu Yasha
Ah my goddess [Movie and the new tv series]
Full metal panic
Scrapped princess
DearS
Ghibli films [Mononoke, Spirited Away, Kikki's delivery service, Castle in the sky]
Chrono Crusade

Dubbing has been getting good in my opinion.
And I've noticed in mostly all the anime releases by adv films have had the same voice actors [some not all of them]

Mostly all of them is Hilary Haag, Monica Rial, and Chris Patton. Those are the only names I can think of right now that I know mostly do voices in anime series from adv films. ^_^

It's the way it works. The famous actors get the best dubs, which means they get heard more often, which means they get more dubs...

That's the case with a lot of companies.

Steven Blum, Crispin Freeman, Kari Wahlgren, Kirk Thorton, Wendy Lee, etc. do a lot of work for Geneon and Bandai.

Then there are Funimation regulars like Justin Cook, Christopher R. Sabat, John Burgmeier, Eric Vale, Laura Bailey, etc. (there are more regulars but I don't feel like typing them all). Lately, I've been noticing that ADV regulars are showing up in Funimation dubs. Are both recording studios in the same area or is there something going on between the two companies?

I'm really only into animes that are dubbed. It might be weird and I might not be "hardcore" I just perfer to listen and not read. I don't care too much if the jokes get a little messed up, I usually still think they are funny. The only time dubs bother me is when they edit like mad, such as funimation does like with Yu Yu Hakusho and you have to wait for the uncut version. I usually like dubs as long as they are uncut and it is an anime I like. My favorit dubs though are
Tenjho Tenge
Rurouni Kenshin
Trigun
Cowboy Bebop
Yu Yu Hakusho
Escaflowne

I like watching anime in both languages. But some series I found to have truly excellent English dubs were:

Ranma 1/2
InuYasha
Rurouni Kenshin
Yu Yu Hakusho
Cowboy Beebop
Trigun

Now that's not to say that I didn't also enjoy the Japanese version of these; but these are the ones I think should go under the category "What An English Version Of An Anime Should Look Like."
