Yes, Chaos, you must do that. uninstall them all, then install 3.11.
then isntall 4.12 and tell it not to play divx3 content.
then install 5.x

I didn't have to do any of that and it worked fine. Are you sure you properly installed it? The whole "Run Me First!" program and all?

DivX Audio only comes with DivX 3.11a. It's a hack of WMA, and it sucks royally, but some people use it.

It doesn't come with DivX 5 because (a) it sucks and (b) it's a hack.

As long as you install the full DivX 3.11a package properly, you shouldn't need to uninstall DivX 5.

But it's still a good idea to freshen the system entirely.
No, there's no logical explaination as to why you should.
There's a ton of stuff like that int he computer world, though.
Like Windows. Sometimes you just have to reinstall it instead of trying to fix it without reinstalling.
Anyway, uninstall of everything and reinstall of everything correctly makes absolutely sure nothing is screwed up.

I first disk of FLCL should be comming out soon...you could always BUY it.

just checked animenation, first disc is out 8/13/02

Hahaha, coming out soon. I think it was originally supposed to come out in the springtime.
