I gotta say, I usually prefer the Manga. It tends to be much more literary and lyrical, and you get a lot more back story. The anime tends to miss a lot of content, and often screws up the story (Love Hina, I'm looking RIGHT AT YOU).
My vote's for Manga.

My votes generally for the manga.
Example: I prefer Love Hina's manga, Same for Jing too, with the exception of the Zaza story arch, which was excelently done in the anime. However, I prefer Abenobashi's anime, since it goes much more indepth with the story than the manga, adding more drama to the story.
Of course, it really just depends on the series. There are some shows where you have to see everything to get the full story. For example, project .hack is much better if you watch and read everything. Even with some parallel story lines (like the key of the twilight story) you need other sources to improve it. I liked the anime more until I read AI Buster, which filled out parts of the manga that seemed random when I first read it. The fact that .hack//AI Buster is a good book didn't hurt.

Hellsing is the almost exact same way. Manga gets the gold.EmilLang1000 wrote:I gotta say, I usually prefer the Manga. I prefer manga
I would usually prefer the manga version. Manga to me seems less confusing that the anime. There may be other reasons to why i can't comprend anime, but it doesn't matter. With manga, you can better appreciate the artists art!
plus anime is too expensive for me to buy

Re: I prefer manga
I agree on the "buy" part. DVD's are made cheap, but become expensive because of what's on them. I don't like it when prices increaase... but w/e that's life. (Nice with saying you can better appreciate the artist's work) I do admire that.lmo1290 wrote:I would usually prefer the manga version. Manga to me seems less confusing that the anime. My vote also goes to manga. However, my reason is that most manga appeal to a more mature audience (for instance, most Shounen manga) I just like it better that way.

i think that the love hina anime is better than the manga ... and abenobashi has a great anime ... as some other people said, depends on which series and how good the anime team crew is ...
