I think he was talking about Barefoot Gen. Barefoot Gen takes place during and shortly after Hiroshima. Grave of the Fireflies, though beautiful, takes place during the Firebombing of Tokyo several months before.

Haha, yeah that was my first anime too. I think I was somewhere around the range of 7-8 years old, and I was mortified at some parts of it. I initially thought it'd be good since it was a cartoon (damn I was stupid), but yeah...I didn't like what I saw.Swiftling wrote:lmao, that's funny and terrible at the same time.
