Think it would be pretty hard to find this episode.. since its licensed and all. That and the website says we have at least 8 more days (2006-2-10).
Anyway, if someone comes across it before then that would be awesome, early releases aren't unknown.

The first OVA thats out crams the first few episodes togther (the important ones anyways). Half of it is Seras/Ceras/wtfever being surrounded by zombies, turning into a vampire a la Alucard and all that. The other half is the first encounter between Alucard and Anderson. There might be more to it (I never finished watching the full thing).
All in all, this is looking oh so sweet.

I didn't like it, sorry, it just can't stack up to the series so far.
First, I'm too enamored of the anime series' awesome soundtrack to ever be won over by the mediocre orchestration that's replaced it.
Second, the OVA also just...oozes forced coolness and edge. Too over the top on all accouts - the original series was quite cool enough, thank you, and going to such obvious lengths to top THAT just seems like desperation. Make it awesome in its own way, dont try to outdo a series that's already established itself as being really cool.
Third, Alucard comes off being extremely childish, out of control and really, really weird.
Fourth, there's a lot of exposition. More telling, than showing. Characters talking at one another about their motives, greatness etc.
Fifth, the artwork is disappointing. I want to be blown away by this "new and improved" Hellsing, not bored. Production value-wise, it's better than most of the series was, but it's still nothing fantastic. I want "La Petite Cossette" quality!
For the record, I also own the manga, and while the OVA is much more closely following the original story, this doesn't necessarily mean it's being done better than it was in the series, before the latter devolved into Incognito oddness.
