To be fair, G-Saviour was tech. a joint production with Canada, so they can't take full blame for that.
Also, as an interesting fun fact, seems many of the higher-ups at Sunrise Japan disavow such a production was ever made (...and, to their credit, they can kind of get away with it given there's no mention of Gundams therein.)

I only watched the first few eps and thought they were horriable.
It didnt keep my intrest in it.
That is one of the main reasons it is not on air anymore.
You remember region the conquer ? Air on CN on adult swim. After horrible rattings it was taken off the air. This is the same way.
I wish they would air some owtlaw star. I miss that show. It was on toonami a long time ago along with DBZ and a couple of others.

Lets not forget about SD Gundam either.EmilLang1000 wrote:Okay, yes, Battle Royale was a good movie, and I'm not including Akira Kurosawa in this statement, but think of how many Japanese live action things have you seen that were just HORRIBLE.
I mean, sure, America has some terrible shows, but nothing like Japanese shows... they rival PORN in crap-tacularity (mostly because the acting blows monkey chunks). For god's sake, these people invented the idea of Sentei! Power Rangers, people! And this is there typical sci-fi show! I'm sorry, but I would rather shoot myself than see Gankutsuou, Monster, Ranma, or Macross be turned into a live action, because they'd butcher it! Think about what they did to Gundam! Anybody happen to remember G-Savior? I rest my case.
That was the crapiest thing I have ever seen. Almost as worse as some yu-gi-oh things.

I can argue that... DBZ was by far the most popular ANime that aired on Toonami. Sure, there were some that we liked better, but the majority liked DBZ.Willen wrote:One word: Naruto.Android_Kikaider wrote:But, I would like to see an anime beat out DBZ :p
OK, Naruto is on CN now, so I would agree that DBZ has it's competition since it has been pushed back abit to make way for more Anime.
If DBZ was still on with Naruto showing, I think it would be very close to which one is more popular...DBZ had some BIG time fans.
But now, when I go to the Mall, I see some dumb 14 yr old(No offense 14 yr olds) with a Sasuke headband and shirt on...
Anyways, I guess that's all I have to say about that right now )

Wow, you thought Kikaider was horrible? I seen more potential in that Anime than any on CN at the time.Joe88 wrote:I only watched the first few eps and thought they were horriable.

Sure, I like Outlaw Star as much as the next guy, but Kikaider was just original to me at the time. I mean I have Vol. 1 & 2 on DVD so far....for some reason I can't find Vol. 3 & 4 -_-'
Well, anyways, it's just my opinion but I thought that Anime was great and they could have made some extra eps to go into it but I guess they did ok with stopping soon. Who knows how messed up it would be if they were to continue it?
And I thank E Lang for that ^_^

Sorry, I must've missed this message ^^; OOPS!Kariudo wrote:...bored enough to read the forum rules?
anyway...I liked Android Kikaider, but couldn't catch it most of the time (as it was on quite late for me when it was showing)
so I got bits and peices.
from what I've read, it sounds like I would've wanted to see it end.
The thing that made it stand out in my mind was the guitar on Kikaider's back (can't remember what his other name was at the moment)
Yeah, the guitar was his signature thing when he was Jiro form. Jiro is his name when he's not Kikaider ^_^
Anyway, if what you've read excites you about it, wait until you see it ^.^
It rox, in my opinion.
