Castle of Cagliostro had a good ending - one that wanted me to want it to keep on going.

Sailor Moon Classic probably has my favorite ending ever. Cowboy Bebop runs an extremely close second though.

I liked the ending to Chrono Crusade (except for the funky coda where the angel comes back as a homeless dude, what was the deal with that?)

Cowboy Bebop was good.

I liked the ending to Azumanga Daioh, it wrapped up the show perfectly.

Zoids Chaotic Century - GREAT action filled ending eps there, they were definitly rewarding if you watched the series.

No one's said Gunbuster...you all make me sick!

OK, now that that's out of my system:

-Mobile Suit Gundam - The battle of A Baoa Qu...to this day, a classic finale
-Space Runaway Ideon (more specifically 'The Ideon: Be Invoked') - The whole movie, really...the apocalyptic final battle...the desperate last-ditch gambit that fucks the universe...and the final salvation/rebirth...EoE never quite hit me like this.
-Turn A Gundam - I think this has to be one of the few animes where the ending saddened me on the basis I didn't want to see it end.
-Now and Then, Here and There - ...just watch it...seriously...you won't regret it...you'll feel like Hell, but it'll be worth it.
and
-Zeta Gundam - Not a happy ending nearly so much as a sigh of relief that the fighting has stopped (...even though we all know that's not gonna last.)

Good show, but tough to get through. Mostly Sara's story.

Cowboy Bebop was done great

But I'd have to say episode 26 of EVA...c'mon you all know after the movie the version was too happy not to like...(You don't get it the first time but it is well done)

Cowboy Bebop and Neon Genesis come to mind as the best.
Cowboy Bebop probably with the edge as it is my favourite anime and the ending contributes to that.
However there are still a whole lot of anime that I can't remember the endings too or haven't finished watching so yeah.
