Cool Idea. With tuition fees you certainly should.
WTF they are making a halo movie. Thats gonna suck as bad or worse than all the other video game movies ever. Overrated POS with bad physics hidden under online play. Of course
FFVII:AC is an exception, but you sell 15 million copies of a game you get a cult worthy of some damn effort in the movie department. Plus it had a failed attempt with Spirits Within for a lesson in what not to do.
*(#@&$ I would need a plane ticket to see FMA. No way it would come to nowhere.

Yeah. I heard they're using live actors instead of CG. Yes, FFVII:AC did rock, but I still loved FF:TSW. DOOM was ok, but was lead off and didn't have as much action as the game. It because a thriller instead of what the game meant it to be (as in DOOM 3). Too much story, not enough killing. Anyway...yeah. I'd still love to catch FMA in theatres.HeavyMetal wrote:Cool Idea. Let's not start this. I respect Cornwiggle's opinion. So if you've got something to say, it should be about the post, or directly related to a quote about the post. Which may or may not be true. But the movie does just fine with the series plotline.

Of course you can. I was just clearing up HeavyMetal's confusion as to what you meant. But also, you do always make some comment to that effect in most even vaguely FMA related threads. Was it really necessary?Cornwiggle wrote:Hey, can't I post my own opinion?aesling wrote:Ignore Cornwiggle, he's just going on about how the manga is so much better than the anime, as always. And so this thread doesn't wander off topic and get locked...
I was reading an article on ANN (I think) on how theaters were absolutely packed when it was showing. So you would think that they would see that expanding the number of theaters it's in would be beneficial to all.

There is no business like show business or as stupid sometimes.
(Even a live action Halo would blow. Use that money to make more film copies of FMA.)
Saw the movie...Its worth theaters I think. A little cramped with the plot. Its good, but it seems compressed into to small a space. Too many loose ends and not enough time for a build to the concepts.
You see that even in the biggest of movies sometimes (book adaptations mostly). War of the Worlds comes to mind as suffering the same trouble and they shelled out to pay Cruise.
Manga are always different. (For one you can get away with more in print. Unless its a comic, but I don't care for those anyway. Still #^(%# censorship....Irony yes.)
Yu Yu Hakushou was better in print, much more up front about characters, Yusuke being much more of a punk. But you can't beat the silverscreen for kung fu ass kicking. Probably the same for FMA.
