Best animation sequences for opening?
I've seen quite a lot of series these days so i may forget about better ones, but those which come into my mind right now are from:
- Ouran High School Host club.
- GITS Stand Alone Complex - both seasons
- Cowboy Bebop
- Angel heart
- Blood+ the third opening (cause the 4th sucks)

Good ones:

1. Neon Genesis opening
2. Chrono crusade opening
3. Hellsing opening
4. Elfen Lied ending

Bad ones:

1. Berserk (this truly sucks)
2. most of the Naruto openings

Best openings (I usually skip endings):

GitS: SAC--both though I prefer the second
Blood+--the third especially, but I like the others too.
The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi--opening and ending are both awesome.

Worst:

Naruto--none of them are great, but the first is particularly bad.
Sakura Diaries--admittedly, the series ain't great, but the opening makes no sense.
Shamanic Princess--eps 1-4. Isn't the opening animation supposed to be better than the art in the show?

The only thing that doesn't make sense in the opening is that Urara doesn't have a dog.

Actually my main issue with that one (aside from the absurd stills and near-stills) is that it focuses on Urara only, when she's not the protaganist. Granted, there's other examples of that, but the opening itself is boring. As. Hell.

And I don't know what she has any fish either.

She doesn't have fish.. also, if you look carefully there's a bird cage or two in the kitchen, but no birds in them.

Touma doesn't appear on any of the manga covers, only Urara and other chicks, incidentally.

This list is way too long to remember, so I'll just name some of my god-like openings:

1. Reckless Fire-S-CRY-ed, there was a time that I was so obsessed with this song...I mean, like, it was crazy. And the fact that you get 3 openings all of different verses, yeah.

2. Unlimited-Samurai 7, to be honest it's...just a cool song, with cool clips. *shrugs* I like that.

3. (ending) Daydream Generation-YYH, good song, really gets you in the mood to watch more YYH actually. At least it did with me.

4. Ryo-oki's theme-Tenchi OVA- how can you not think this song is cool?

Worst ones?

Bleach for sure, I agree with Bebop on that. Hmm, it's hard to remember because a lot of themes I hate are from animes I don't like either....
