it was a bit Bull Shited how Goku won against Vegeta in the beginning of DBZ.......

Its more like Goku and his freinds won against Vegeta thats more accurate.

i personally think it would end in a tie. if not. then my bet would be goku, because those creeps at funmation would problally pull some stunt to get him to win.
