CaT: Alakazam the Great was the American title for the 1961 release of one of the Monkey King films. Featured the voices of Frankie Avalon and Jonathan Winters.

Of course it was. It's such an obvious choice that we all overlooked it intentionally.

I remember watching that at like 7 am on Saturday mornings, using a Matchbox Morris Mini as a stand-in for the Mach 5. just like this one, in fact:

My favorites included Robotech and Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs, Saban's Adventures of the Little Mermaid, plus all the stuff that was on Nick Jr. (Lil Bits, David the Gnome, Adventures of the Little Koala, Noozles, etc.) Oh go ahead and lynch me, but they WERE anime. And at the time they were some of the only anime showing in U.S. syndication, and I didn't even know what the internet was. I was only 6-9 when most of them started. And most of them were some of the last few things Saban did right.
