My old anime club always used to show an episode of Mini Goddess at the start of each evening as a nice way to settle in to the evening.

I've found a lot of shorts that I liked via fansub... I don't think ANY short animes (8 minute episodes) are licensed.
Anyway the ones I can think up off the top of my head
Android Anna Maico 5000 or something like that

Also if you hadn't seen Suzimaya you might like that if your into comedys... and are not like me :/ honestly I didn't like it very much... but it's worth the six episodes and a fun watch. I'm not bothering with the full name, if you don't know it your not an anime fan

Grenadier is only 12 episodes (or 13, I can't remember). Lots of fun and a great story.

IMHO Grenadier sucks. The whole thing is to me a bad Trigun ripoff with all the fun parts taken out and replaced with fanservice.
