trigun sad moment
well, trigun had quite a few sad moments. in eps 17 when rem dies and basically, all of humanity is floored on gunsmoke by knives. when brad was shot, he started off as a prick to vash but stood up for him at the end. wolfwood dying was sad as well, ::sniffle:: poor milly...

Evangelion -when Shinji was forced to kill Kaworu. The interaction prior to this was what made it so sad. Shinji didn't want to and Kaworu knew there was no other way.
Grave of the Fireflies -it opens and closes on such a sad note and the entire inbetween was beautifully melancholy. You see the suffering between the siblings and was a rare case where we saw the Japanese perspective of the final days of WWII. Saddest anime ever.
Fruits Basket -Hatori's doomed relationship with Kana was so heart wrenching as a few have mentioned. Not to mention, you see not only how Hatori suffered but this is where the series starts to show the suffering most of the characters go through. Also another really sad moment in the series is when Momiji tells Tohru about his mother and sister and how his mother opted to forget about him to save her sanity. It made me want to water a bit.
Trigun -Wolfwood dying. However he does win the award for the best death anime has to offer. Just the whole first confession thing in the church thing was very moving and appropriate.
Gatekeepers 21 -highlight to read as this is a bigger spoiler as the series is not completed for a stateside release. fifth episodes leave off with a short conversation between Yukino and Kageyama. "This will be the second time we fight together...." "and it will be our last." Then later you watch Yukino falling after being ripped apart by Ghost Girl before dissapearing in Miu's arms.
Key the Metal Idol- Key and Lain are pretty much your angst champions and it really made me feel quite sad and sorry for the characters. I felt both kinda needed a hug.

Yes...TOO many threads. I know it sounds arrogant, but some of the posts kind of are annoying esp. when people won't take what is in front of them and will argue what they WANT it to be. If that's the way you want it, write a fanfic. Then again, I don't claim to know everything, but that statement sure makes it seem like I do...sorry.AtomicWeezleman wrote:we really should have done eva the explanation, so many threads about it.......

I hear they're good, but as you can see from my sub/dub posts, I am a purist and like seeing things how the creator does...regardless of if it's not good or whatnot.AtomicWeezleman wrote:but, its good to have alternate/wrong views.....we have someone to berate and correct....besides, i like fanfics, my two fav eva ones are....Evangelion R and TOILI, both a good read.......evar takes too damn long to read!!!!
In any case, AMEN to that Kaji statement..(or was that another thread?).

No about how we don't care...that was also another thread. I've stated the exact same thing since it doesn't add or subtract anything (although if it was Misato it would, but we all know that's a retarded answer in itself).AtomicWeezleman wrote:which statement, the one where he got shot repeatedly? i think that was another thread....

oh, sorry, yeah, its a pointless argument, like so many others......hmm, but what if....no, misato would never do it...it is a retarded thought, it was more than likely an agent, kaji just knew it would happen, just expected it sooner....ah shit, you got me started on theories now....
