I don't think it'd be that hard to get people who resemble the characters...I'm sure they could do that right. People make it sound like Rei Ayanami will be so difficult to duplicate. Get a girl with a very soft voice, bleach her hair, and give her red contact lenses. Not that hard, folks.

I will say this though, atleast 15 of you all need to be hit by a car.

Uh-huh, riff-raff of the internet. I wonder why these people show up to a-m-v.org & The-Doors.com more than AnimeNation.com and ClassicRockForums.com.... Listen, I'm all ears if you want to actually explain any of what you're trying to say, but don't insult people if you aren't willing to explain yourself. I hardly understand why my fears for the movie are important to you. It's not actually just about Rei's hotness, it's about her looks, as in, I don't want her to be a nobody, I don't want this Rei to be an average shmo, I want her to look her part. The reason this is more important to me is simple - no matter what they attempt to do with the Evangelion story, odds are they will try to epic-ify it like was done with The Lord of the Rings. People that go out and see the movie are more likely to go back and see what the original story was. However, filling movie posters and commercails with images of a peice-of-crap Ayanami Rei would leave an indent into the minds of people that don't give a damn about Evangelion, and thus Rei websites will start getting emails about how un-hot she is. You're complete disregard for human life is repulsive, so most people that may express an opinion that you don't hold should go out and get hit by a car? Come on man....

Why you are an idiot: You assume all people care about is some one's looks and that it is the basis for all first impressions.

You should know how the movie industry works by now. It's advertisements are all about being flashy and enticing. Rei won't be on the posters unless she's one hot fucking bitch. I'm betting Eva 01 will be on the posters. And as for her being a "nobody." Did you know who anyone was in lord of the rings 1? They wern't exactly super stars, but they all did a damn good job, THREE times might I add.

Holy hell man, you're telling me to grow up when you can't even have a conversation? Your explination reveals little sense. By "nobody" I didn't mean she had to be a star (sorry for not explaining that) I don't care if she's a star, I care if she looks like any average kid (taking into account the hundreds of dollars to make her look "hot") Rei should look different, she should have blue hair and red eyes, I don't have confidence that the movie makers will care to keep that authentic. As for things revolving around looks, you're quite mistaken to assume I think that's how everyone feels. I'm only worried about the particular people that do see everything based soley on looks, and will act accordingly. Of course I wasn't talking about everyone in the whole world, but you'd be fooling yourself to pretend there are NO people that judge things on looks.
