I was not. If necessary, I'll put it in huge bold capital letters. I was referring to someone who *replied* to the first post - but not you or your argument. I was responding to something someone else said - a post that was in the same 'topic' as the first post, but written by someone else.

Not once did I ever quote or directly respond to the first post of this thread - and I don't intend to.

If he were battouasai and had a strong enough sword, then Kenshin would win - he's 'inhumanly' fast, so speed wouldn't be an issue. And Vegeta would be too busy mocking the way Kenshin looks (think conceited) to consider him a real threat until he was already sliced into a few dozen pieces. ^_^

Oh, come on!

Vegeta could just destroy the entire world with one energy blast if he wanted and there gors Kenshin along with everyone else who ever lived on the planet...Kenshin doesn't have anything close to that power. DBZ characters are just made too over-the-top powerful. That's why there's no real comparison here.

Sure, Vegeta *could* do that. But think of his character. When in the entire DBZ timeline has Vegeta ever killed an opponent using his full strength? Imagine his reaction to seeing Kenshin for the first time and knowing they were to fight. He'd be laughing his head off (and for good reason if you only think of offensive strength). But Kenshin?

If he were battouasi, he would go for the throat in a split second. Again, he would need a strong sword - something like what Trunks used on Frieza (since Freiza was stronger than Vegeta at the time) - something that wouldn't break on impact. With that, he would kill Vegeta before the saiyan even began to power up.

But that's assuming Vegeta doesn't see Kenshin as a threat. If he did, he'd be in the air and it wouldn't be a contest. I just doubt Vegeta would see a little redhead with a sword as something to be worried about - and even if he did, he'd follow the usual DBZ road of 'playing' and not using his power until he's getting his butt kicked - and with battousai, that would be far too late. ^_^;

[BTW: I like Vegeta, don't get me wrong. I just haven't ever seen him as the type to be worried - or the type to go for the throat of a person who looks like Kenshin does. I can't imagine him being worried enough to use even a fraction of his strength. While battousai is similar to Hiei - he kills his opponent with as little effort as possible in order to go on to the next.]
