In Crest of the Stars, Jinto's title is alternately translated two different ways. What was the first translation, and the later (permanent) substitution?

from full metal panic fumoffu, episode 12. Kurz, Kazama, and Onuki are trying to get to the girls hotspring, but run into some trouble. After Kruze get's hit and kazuma takes the sniper rifle, some thing happens as he runs toward the hotspring. What happens and what is this a parody of?
