Been awhile. but i think he lost the will to fight and kind of became dead to the world. like Fuma said the dragons of earth lost one but so did the dragons of heaven even though subaru didn't die. of course i'm not to sure.

The Grimm Brothers, to my knowledge collected and translated folktales and compiled them to be published, I don't recall them being 'Authors' of any of them. Course I could be wrong...
