This is sort of off topic, but it can correspond somehow. Of all the movies I've seen, the ending was a happy ending. If a movie were to have a 'different' ending (for example: the guy not getting the girl, the good guys lose, etc.), would it severely affect people's opinions enough to where the movie wouldn't get far at all? If the movie were great enough to get a 'Best Picture Award' in my opinion and it had an unusual ending, do you think that movie would NOT get that award?

Hopefully, you understand what I'm trying to say.

i'm not sure if i know exactly what ur saying, but it sounds like ur asking if the movie was a good movie in ur opinion, but it had a non-eva traditional ending, would the movie still get a 'best picture' award

i think if the movie didn't have the same ending, but still gave a similar message, it could still be a great movie, but on the other hand, if it didn't have a happy ending, would it really be sending the message? it would only leave it open for a sequel, which is a bad way to go in my opinion

What I was trying to say is this: If any movie were made (I'm not talking about this Eva movie) that had a 'different ending' like the examples in my last post, would people like it as much as if the ending were a 'happy' ending? If a movie were worthy of an award in my and a bunch of people's opinions but it had a 'different' ending, do you think it would get that award?

i think it would still get that award and ppl would still like it
i would hope that people aren't that finiky and that they would embrace change and new ideas

The yprobably won't cover all of the angel battles, seeing as it would take too much time. It'll probably at a point be like the Seele recap story, where there are just flashes of the battles, followed by some generic info.

Else I wouldn't really see how they could fit 6+ hours of material into one movie...

"Spiderman" seemed to work out with that crappy "With great power comes great responsibility" ending. Of course, you could tell they stole the camera angles, the loping walk, and even the "staring off into the distance" look from the ending to "The Riced and the Ridiculous".

For those of you who've seen T3, I don't think a 'different' ending would affect the film, as much as these sniveling, pathetic liberals like Michael Moore, Barbara Streisand, and Alec Baldwin criticizing the film because they're too stupid to get it.

You imply that she ages and that she was "made" earlier than the date of her tour of NERV when in fact Rei I went on the tour to NERV *after* Yui died...

First, Rei and all her clones are created. Then Yui dies. Then Rei gets the tour. Get it now?

Killing a hundred thousand in order to save millions, in my opinion, is not slaughter. The regular, non-nuclear bombing raids on Tokyo killed more people than the nukes did. And yes, France does like to blow small islands to hell. Who doesn't?

Angels will primarily be attacking from Cuba and North Korea, inevitably causing the UN to drop a few N2 mines here and there...

I thought the angels would be russian, the JSSDF the brits, and nerv personel all from San Fransico.......tee hee hee.........

I don't know about all of the NERV personnel being from San Francisco, but Maya and Kaworu certainly would be

As for the Angels... well, who knows wht those crazy Russians are up to?

I saw T3 on opening day. Damn good movie. Just as good as the first two, although in a different way (in my opinion).

Yes but Hiroshima and Nagasaki are technically two of the U.S.'s major war crimes, like that fire bombing of that town in Germany. We litterally targeted non military locations just to see what our bombs could do to a rather unscathed city.

Saved millions? Yes. But remember that hundred thousand were mostly women and children.

Dropping a bomb on Hiroshima stopped the war, yes it did, but they could have done it differently........... drop the bomb on Mt Fuji, just a show of force, also, isnt it regarded as a holy mountain (where the gods live maybe?)no need to kill millions........... but then again, bombing the hell out of people is what war is all about, all armies are guilty of it, even us brits, (thinks too damn busters, all those germans drowned...........)

No. Evidence? Scenes? Anything? Probably not since no one else has ever said anything. Rei was created as a substitute Yui for Gendo after her accident with Unit 01.
