Well of course Kenshin could just summon Wing Zero and shoot Vegetta before he can power up.Cloud Clone wrote:Oh, come on! Vegeta could just destroy the entire world with one energy blast if he wanted and there gors Kenshin along with everyone else who ever lived on the planet...Kenshin doesn't have anything close to that power. DBZ characters are just made too over-the-top powerful. That's why there's no real comparison here.Arigatomyna wrote:If he were battouasai and had a strong enough sword, then Kenshin would win - he's 'inhumanly' fast, so speed wouldn't be an issue. Do you think a beam cannon would be comparable to a ki blast? Which would be hotter (quicker to burn the target), and what would give more propulsion - a gun fired blast, or a person shoving a blast of power?J-0080 wrote:Well of course Kenshin could just summon Wing Zero and shoot Vegetta before he can power up.
I've done mock 'battle' type comparisons with Gundams and the DBZ-type ki attacks before, so I'm curious. Gundanium is supposed to be nearly impossible to melt, and if the ki attacks were not hotter than a regular beam cannon, then they'd be unaffective. But the actual force of the blast from a cannon (or a handheled rifle) could be much less than what the DBZ characters shoot themselves. Since their physical strength is on an entirely different scale from the GW universe, I think they would have as much propulsive force as a simple gun (cannon or rilfe) if not more.
In which case, Wing Zero wouldn't defeat Vegeta, even if Heero was nice enough to teach Kenshin how to use it. The blast wouldn't be forceful enough - even if the heat were higher, and the speed of a Gundam (even Wing Zero) wouldn't match a saiyan (or Kenshin for that matter). Add in Vegeta's physical strength and he could fly behind the suit and tear its arms off - quickly ending the battle without even powering up.

Well, then Kenshin could simply put Jubei's magic eyepatch on Wing Zero, thereby creating a super-fast ninja gundam.Arigatomyna wrote:Do you think a beam cannon would be comparable to a ki blast? Does that patch work on inanimate objects? Some of the gundams *do* show a sign of life at times, but not enough to fight on their own - so unless that patch is something to enhance machines, I doubt it would work.J-0080 wrote:Well, then Kenshin could simply put Jubei's magic eyepatch on Wing Zero, thereby creating a super-fast ninja gundam.

Ah! It's about time someone came up with a decent match-up! Two different characters that have similar types of specialties of combat makes for a harder call as to who would win....however, I believe that Kenshin is much faster and much more skilled as a swordsman than Goemon. Hm...did Goemon ever use any ninja tricks? Or was he more of a samurai? If Goemon were to be more creative during the fight, he may stand more of a chance....Heero_Yuy84 wrote:OK...here's one for ya...

Well, since the eyepatch simply imparts Jubei's spirit and skill into the bearer I wouldn't see any reason why he could'nt inhabit a gundam, ghosts can inhabit inainimate objects afterall.Arigatomyna wrote:Does that patch work on inanimate objects? You're right, you can't cite Inhuman speed as anything special in this cas, since Bejiita's speed is easily very inhuman.Cloud Clone wrote:Oh, come on! This is great! What else can we give Kenshin to match Vegeta? OH, I know! How about The Scepter of Domination from Lodoss War, Zeiram's hat, and how about Vampire Hunter D's left hand?J-0080 wrote:Well, since the eyepatch simply imparts Jubei's spirit and skill into the bearer I wouldn't see any reason why he could'nt inhabit a gundam, ghosts can inhabit inainimate objects afterall.Arigatomyna wrote:Does that patch work on inanimate objects?
