I have a case which proves that finding an anime fan out of the blue IS possible: i was going to watch an anime at the cinema, it was going to be quite a big event and many anime fans had promised to come. when I walked out, I saw the person who I least expected to watch anime walking out after me. it was a total surprise, I had never thought that she would watch anime, she just seemed to be the completely different type. I couldn't believe it even after I had seen it. but miracles are possible, ne?

Have you ever tried talking to someone you just met about anime only to get a blank stare or sarcastic response in return? The best you can hope for in that situation is for that person to have a genuine interest in what you're talking about, because finding another anime fan out of the blue is a rare thing indeed.
Of course the person would give you a "stupid stare" for like 5 secs, but a miracle could happen and that person could be interested in anime too!

in my mother's economy course (she's doing the master's degree) there are a few people who are anime fans and they are about 25 years old..I don't think it matters what age you are.

lol..but so true! One of my teachers loves anime...weird  . she's my science teach. and whenever she sees me she asks me if I've bought more anime magazines/videos/manga/cd's. She's practically the only grown person that I know who likes anime....well maybe not the only one.

haha, i'll watch anime on deathbed(if i can help where i die)! there is absolutely no age limit to anime. i see it as an artform and you're never too young/old to appreciate art. non-anime lovers see it as being too "artsy" and its "just not their thing" no matter how much i say: there HAS TO be something.

and a response to what someone said earlier, i WASN'T frowned upon for it. we respect one another in the suite- if you have common courtesy and a half-open mind. i won't punch out anyone for hating anime but if they start a rant, i'll ask, have you ever gave it a try? and most say no.

its a shame that generally every1s parents gives them funny looks and thinks anime is a waste of there time :? (not including the lucky few)

my dad would prefer it if i was out drinking at clubs with my m8s all night and nearly every night, as long as it doesnt effect my course work..... *sigh*
