well maybe not all of ur dreams......GaavTheDemonDragonKing wrote:hmm really tough statements going around why a MS cant be built. I was waiting for you to ask how much fuel it would cost just to run it. When I thought about that i said, ya my dreams are shatterd. Must find a way to make new fuel, and besides if someone saw a 500 ft MS heading towards them they would all run in fear, they dont know what its weakness or its strength is, they just be like I aint gonna be here to find that out
yu see.... gundams are not 500 feet tall, more or less, 40-80......
and also, there's another series called Mech Warrior..... even MORE realistic! and closer to making than many think! and as Mobile suits are pracicly just mechs with added crap, they might as well talk bout making Mechanical Warriors instead! they would be SO MUCH more cheaper than mobile suits!
I am the man who burned 75% of Rome during my reign! I overthrew my brother,Bleda, and then invaded with devastation!

It all comes down to price, in the end the army will always buy form the lowest bidder. Yes if we put enough effort into it we can indeed made some sort of MS, hech, a mech warrior would be even easier. The basic problem is just making one (and all the prototypes that lead up to it) would suck the revenue of the entire united states for years to come if you want to see such a thing within you life time. And even if it was developed and proven tactically advantageous in a combat situation, we would have to rethink our entire manufacturing process to mass-produce them so that they could be used in times of war.
What makes gundam so insane is its gundanium armor, which we will never have. And once you take that away, a regular thank could take down a MS, so why bother making something like that if it can be killed by something we already produce?? Yes it would be cool, and yes I would be the first one to sign up to test pilot it if the opportunity presented itself. Will it ever tho??, I don’t think so, more than likely we will produce some sort of new weapons platform that will make the idea of a MS ancient.
Realistically speaking, I highly doubt it will ever happen. Even from a civilian point of view, a giant robot on 2 legs would get more in the way in our crowded cities than anything else we could currently use to accomplish the same job.

So technical.
The truth is that Gundam in idea is great but take it to the "real" world and one will find that it isn't the best option.
Gundam-esque things could make it though.
Like mechanical body-suits/armor.
The type of artillery.
The "technology".
But if the world ever needs a machine to destroy and topple buildings, we know who to "call".

Funny how a couple of weeks ago I've said the exact same thing to you and *cough* another member, in another thread...TheKorovaMilkbar wrote:bastard

Anyways, here's an odd Gundam question: are there good small gundams out there? In a show focused on big and powerful, I am actually curious whether the 'little guy' ever gets any attention
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
