I think it only matters more when the seasons differ in some substantial way. I.e. FMP is very different from Fumofu as are Gundam Seed, Destiny and Astray. But something like Jigouku Shoujo or School Rumble where a shot from one season looks pretty much interchangable from the other I'd think it wouldn't matter so much.

That said; I guess Tenjo Tenge.
