Have to agree with anyone that said "Berserk". I LOVED that series, but the end had me going ".........waitaminute..." then searching all over online to see if there was a second season or something... Thankfully the manga continues where the anime left off.

Other WTF series:
Utena. Duh.

Excel Saga, though that was just after the first few episodes even. Couldn't stand the series, but it deserved a major 'wtf were they ON when they DID this?'

Melody of Oblivion. It was like Utena as far as all the symbolism goes. o_O; Every episode had a sort of WTF feel to it to some extent, but especially towards the end (The cow-girls. Wha... but... they... *so confused*). Too bad this series is so underappreciated. ;_;

Wolf's Rain. That was probably the worst for me. It looks interesting and (relatively) not WTF-ish in the beginning, but the ending... it completely screwed with my head.

FLCL. The one WTF inducing series that I actually liked the WTF nature of it (I know sentence made no sense, sorry). It was just so unashamedly weird that I couldn't help but like it.

Betterman. OMFG... thinking about this show still gives the creeps. I don't even know why I stuck with for so long... just got worse and worse. I mean, during one episode (I was a bit... umm... tipsy, so meh...) I literally started screaming at the TV, "THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE!! WHAT THE F@$# ARE YOU DOING!!" I can't stand that show. *shudder*[/i]

I actually liked that show, but to this very day I never understood half of the shit they were talking about.

I could just never get used to the mechs. I think that was the problem I had with the show, 'cause I like other shows that are that different, but I hated the mechs. Then again, I'm a Gundam fan, so if it can't blow up a city, I'm not interested.

I was more interested in the paranoia, comical, and romantic aspects of that show.

Another minor "what the fuck" feeling involves Gungrave. I think Geneon picked the wrong voice actor to play Harry MacDowell; to me it just doesn't fit his character.

well teh whole betterman thing was supposed to be about"algernon" a virus that would effect humans turning them in to maniacs n stuff. WHICH "algernon" was in actuality all the people who participate din the 'project' they did. In actuallity th ebettermen were there to stop "algernon" as it was a reacurring " virus in the world. compare the bettermen to white blood cells. BUT the ending.. sheesh.....LAIN mad emore sense than that!! ALl i can figure out is th efrail girl and her dad survived, as well as hinoki and her Kat chan" her BF in other words. everyone else dies. reall ypissed me off. WELl the BABY the two psychics had lived.. but he will prolly become a betterman as well.

Yeah when i first time watch FLCL and now the new anime on adult swin Parinoa Agent (sp?) that show is really mess up !!

I dont think Paranoia Agent is bad, but they could have dropped ep 6-10 and not affected the storyline, OK may not dropped the episodes but it does get slow in the middle.

For some reason I am really drawn to Tsukiko's character. I really like her.
