when I saw shinji choose instrumentality, it was poetic justice. All the people who wronged him in life and the world that mistreated him got a big fat dose of a little thing I call KARMA!Mroni wrote:Once Again Eva because it sucks so bad. So in other words, one part of the community is waging war on another part of the community because they take their community seriously enough to want to do so. Then they tell the powerless side to get over the loss cause it's just an online community. I'm glad people make so much sense." -- Tab

Puh-lease. Shinji was just a crazy fuck who ruined the world because he didn't know what he wanted. He should have let Kaoru define the third impact and died himself, I swear even an angel would have made a better world than Shinji did.CaTaClYsM wrote:when I saw shinji choose instrumentality, it was poetic justice. shinji did know what he wanted, he knew exactly what he wanted and made his world what he wanted it to be.

Yeah, he really sounded as though he knew what he wanted between his crying tantrums, and his changing his mind once he saw what instrumentality was like. And if so, he's even more of a crazy fuck if the world he got in the end was what he wanted his world to be.CaTaClYsM wrote:shinji did know what he wanted, he knew exactly what he wanted and made his world what he wanted it to be.

well what the fuck woud you have expected him to do? suddenly he chances from the crybaby he was in the first 25 eps and turns into a rational human being and stops instrumentality?
Him doing anything other than what exactly happened would have been out of character and I would have liked the series less.

Yes, I agree with you perfectly. But it doesn't make him not crazy. You just said that he knew exactly what he wanted and I just said that he didn't, now you go off on something neither for or against what I said.CaTaClYsM wrote:well what the fuck woud you have expected him to do? suddenly he chances from the crybaby he was in the first 25 eps and turns into a rational human being and stops instrumentality?

If he didn't know what he wanted then he wouldn't have chosen instrumentality.

If he really did want that then why did he change it? And you don't have to know what you want to make a decision. All he knew is that he didn't want life as he knew it, then found out he didn't want instrumentality. You could easily say he knew what he didn't want, but I think there's little to no evidence to suggest he knew exactly what he did want.CaTaClYsM wrote:If he didn't know what he wanted then he wouldn't have chosen instrumentality.

instrumentality was MEANT to be changed to whatever way he wanted it to be. and he did just that.
