Hmmm... I don't think I've ever seen an evacuation in which giant robots were not involved. Then again I'd guess it's fairly taking the widescreen resolution into consideration. Curse me and my not watching much new anime over the past couple years.

After all that pointless rambling may as well venture a guess: Elfen Lied. The soldier uniforms look kind of familiar, but I don't recall them evacuating in that.
