They all have their pros and cons.

Ex. Gundam Wing  close combat oriented
8th MS Team  More ranged combat
Any would make me happy, though I have a soft spot for 08th MS Team, or something similar. Just so long as I can customize and stomp through a city(Colony) in a Gundam. Oh yeah, and blast other Gundams.

and gundams would be too hard for us to control... maybe not the G-Gundams, but most-definately the Gundam-Wing gundams... only Mech Warriors will be compliantly be able to be built because they're much more simpler than gundams
Mechwarriors more simple than Gundams.

Yeah. Right.

They're about the same dude except they don't really have arms. And they are not as hard to control as you think. Writing a cockpit program may take some work.
Coffee 54 wrote:This may be changing the subject but, I think a good way to go with a Gundam video game might be the first person shooter. Who wouldn't want to play a fps from the perspective of a giant robot? Maybe do it Ghost Recon style to add the military element. I don't know, it's just an idea I had. I'd do it too, if I was any better at game modding that is.
Done. We call it Shogo. (Good luck finding it. It's old and the company is no longer around. Though it was quite funny)
Coffee 54 wrote:One thing that would be a must would be the uber exagerated smoke effect present in Gundam and most anime. Each shot should put out a cloud of dust(or sparks on metal). With modern processers that shouldn't be too hard, and it'd be cool as hell.
In space the dust would diffuse faster than you can blink, so you wouldn't be able to see it anyway. As for ground combat...*Shrugs* I guess you win there.

That gives me an idea. (Note: I didn't come up with this)

Name your favorite series, but then name something bad about it, then name your least favorite series and name something good about it. Here's mine:

Favorite: New Mobile Report Gundam Wing
Con: Stock footage is everywhere.

Least favorite: Mobile Fighter God Gundam
Pro: Let Gundams do Super Robots, something that hasn't been done before and let's us play off the phrase: "This hand of mine glows with an awesome power, it tells me to defeat you! Here I go! ERRRUPTTTING BURNNING FINGEEERRRR!"

Have fun kiddies.

Favorite: Zeta Gundam
Con: Shinta and Qum...it's like the White Base trio all over again...

Least favorite: Prob. gonna have to take Wing on this (...yes, yes, we all know the irony here)
Pro: It DID give Gundam a considerable leg-up in the US (However, as I've said before that's a bit of a double-edged sword)

Favorite: 08th MS Team
Con: Cookie cutter villian, the end was kinda whiny(still loved it though)

Least Favorite: Char's Counter Attack - I mean come on, there was a fling 'T' for crying out load.
Pro: It probably would have made sense if I had seen the orginial, that and the battles were cool.

Tempting, but I'm of the school that doesn't view G-Saviour as official Gundam (in part since the phrase Gundam is never mentioned anyways, so that just makes it THAT much easier)

Isn't G-Savior the "craptastic" live action movie or something like that?
Heard it's the bane of Gundam Otaku, this is why I haven't seen it yet... :P

Yeah, in a nutshell G-Saviour was an attempt at a live-action Gundam movie...

...I say attempt because the end result was such a failure that Sunrise Japan has effectively written it out of the franchise.

Sadly thought as much, Heero.
I'm better of not seeing it; don't want to scarred for life.
Gundam is a great series because it makes our imagination fly.
Most of us would like Gundam to exist in real life (real-life problems notwithstanding).

If the army or navy ever looks upon heavens scenes, they would see that the streets are guarded by the United States Marines.
