Yeah, I think I answered this before, but I'm bored and the thread is still going so...wt-heck.
First, I wouldn't want to be *alone* alone with many anime characters - certainly not my favorites. Why? Because my favorite anime characters tend to be the sort who need a quiet constant to keep them in line - if they were alone with me, I'd be dead in a matter of minutes and wouldn't get any enjoyment out of the encounter. So I'd need at least pairs of 2.
YYH:
1) Kuwabara
I think it would be fun to hang out with someone so goofy he's ridiculous, yet so steadfast he'd do anything for his friends. He's the sort who'd be the life at a party, the comic relief. But alone he'd probably trash my apartment and accidentally knock me down the stairs in a bit of clumbsiness. So I'd need a constant - either Yukina or Yusuke. If it were Yukina, he'd ignore me and gush the entire time, which would get boring after a while. With Yusuke he'd either be drunk in a matter of minutes or start some fighting match that would (again) leave my apartment trashed. But either way, it would be an interesting time.
2) Hiei
Most know I have a penchant for him, mainly for his attitude. But he's one of those characters who'd end up killing me within minutes - no fun there. So the constant would either be Yukina or Kurama. I might pick Mukuro, but chances are if it were the three of us, she'd talk to me and he would ignore us both. With Yukina, he'd be more likely to keep quiet in the background or play polite - which would be nice for a change, but I prefer him when he's grouchy. With Kurama I think we could taunt him into socializing one way or another - he'd still gripe and be grouchy, but Kurama's one of the few who can tease him without ending up dead. I might pick Yusuke for this role, but he's too prone to useless fights just for the fun of it - and I'd rather spare my apartment from fire.
3) Shizuru
Now her I wouldn't mind being alone with. I think we could get along quite well without a constant, and it could be interesting. If I *were* to add another, it would be either Yukina or Botan. With Botan, it would be a girly gossip session with Shizuru as the wit and Botan as the 'girly.' With Yukina it would be more like playful teasing and just all around nice fun at her expense since she's so innocent and sweet. I wouldn't want to be alone with Yukina because I'd end up bothering her innocence with my comments - but with Shizuru I'd have something to divert me from that.
4) Kurama
I wouldn't mind being alone with him, either. The only possible problem would be conversation topics - without someone to distract us it could get boring after a while. His playful side doesn't come out much unless he's teasing his friends, so I'd probably add one of the guys to the mix, any one of them would do the trick, though Hiei or Kuwabara would be the most fun.
